AVIATION AND AIR MAILS
CONFERENCE BEGINS TO-MORROW [Fkom Our Parliamentary Rerorter.] WELLINGTON, September 28. The conference concerning aviation and air mails will commence in earnest to-morrow, when Sir Archdalo Parkhill, Commonwealth Minister of Defence, arrives from Auckland. Discussions have already taken place between the Australian and British delegates, but these have only been of a preliminary character. The British delegate is Mr F. G. L. Bertram, of the British Air Ministry, and the Australian delegates are Captain E. C. Johnstone, Controller-Gene-ral of Civil Aviation, and Messrs M. L. Shepherd ■ (Secretary for Defence), H. I*. Brown. (Director of Postal Services), and M. B. Harry (Chief Inspector of Postal Services).
Cabinet will bo represented by the Minister of Defence and PostmasterGeneral (Mr Jones), the Minister of Transport (Mr Semple), the Minister of Finance (Mr Nash), and the Minister of Marine (Mr Fraser). |
