BOY SCOUTS’ WORLD JAMBOREE
Thirty thousand Boy Scouts, from all parts of the world, are expected at the World Jamboree, which will be held in Holland in the summer of next year. The preparations for this big gathering have already begun, under the leadership of the retired Admiral Rambonnet, ex-Minister of the navy, and at present Chief Scout of the Netherlands. The World Jamboree will be held in beautiful grounds, covering about 160' hectares, at Vogelenzang, which is between the cities of Leyden and Haarlem, Ten camps will be erected, each having a capacity for 3,000 Scouts. Various auxiliary oamps will be constructed for the staff, and in the grounds of Woestduin there will be a special hostel camp for distinguished guests and former leaders. The headquarters of the jamboree will be in the estate of Teylmgerbosch. In addition there will be almost a town of shops and restaurants for the Roy Scouts and visitors. It will have a telegraph office, a bank, and a theatre A special road will be constructed across the dunes to the sea. in order to, give everybody an opportunity to baffle..
