CLIMBING ROSE CUPID

This rose becomes a feature of at* traction wherever planted. The large broad petalled flowers, each almost six inches across, of glowing flesh, touched with peach, and softening to opal are beautiful. The foliage is robust and abundant, even where it is fighting with the roots of some other tree nearby. When grown on pillars, per. golas, or fences it is even more handsome. It is a single rose, with a centre of beautiful anthers and sometimes a few extra petals appear from the centre of the blooms, the buds are long and pointed and much deeper in colour than the expanding flower. The unusually large heps which follow are bright orange in colour and are an attractive feature of the plant during autumn and winter. The flowers are produced very freely.—ManawutiJ ‘ Daily Times.’- |
