CONCERT AT TALBOY'S HOME

A most enjoyable concert was given at Talboys Home on Wednesday evening by the Merrymakers’ concert party in conjunction with the South Dunedin Salvation Army bandsmen and songsters, the latter taking up the first part of the programme. Delightful music was contributed by the band. The programme included a Scripture lesson by Mr Carey, a solo by Bandsman Daniels, and choruses. The second part of the programme was opened with a pianoforte solo by Mrs Stevens. Other items were given by Mr Adamson, Mrs Magem, Mr Silver, Mrs Black, Mrs Fraser. Miss Reekie, Mr Phillips, Mr King, Master Raymond Dunn, Mrs Webster, Messrs Beckingsale (2)', and Parata. Mr King and Mrs Stevens played the accompaniments. Enjoyable items were given in the wards by members of the party. A hearty vote fo thanks was accorded to the performers by Mr Sutherland and carried by acclamation.
