“BUNGALOW" FAIR
Wesley Church, Cargill road, held its annual effort in the South Dunedin Town Hall last evening, when a large attendance took part in the thrills of the “ fun factory ” and in purchasing the goods on the various stalls, these stalls representing the various rooms and accessories of a bungalow. Brisk business was done all the evening, and it is expected that to-night everything will be sold 1 out. The fair was opened, by the Rev. C. H. Olds (chairman of the Otago district), who congratulated, the promoters on the splendid array ,of goods and flowers for sale, and. wished. the fair its deserved success. . The band of the Boys’ Brigade. played outside the hall, for an hour, and inside a radio, provided plenty of music v A. large collection of choice narcissi was forwarded by a member of the church, and these met with a ready sale. The fair was reopened this afternoon, and will be concluded to-night. The following is the list of stalls and stallholders:—Bedroom— Mesdames Orchard and Bell, Misses Blackburn, Pedlow,' and Manley; bathroom and nursery—Mesdames Gilder, Sydor, and Hudson; dining room—Mesdames Hunt and Simons; kitchen—Mesdames Yeoman, Johnston, Homan, and Dray; pantry—Mesdames Dotting (2), Edgar, Dowland, and Peters; library—Messrs A, Bartlett and W. Ashby ; sun porch (tea rooms) —Mesdames Manley and Wellington; garden—Mbssrs Barclay, Yeoman, and Blackburn ; fUn factory, Mr H. H.. Hunt and assistants. The Rev. H. C. ‘Orchard is chairman of the committee, and Mrs W. G. Cole secretary and treasurer. •
