RUGBY VISITORS DEPART

ROUSING SEND-OFF FOR AUSTRALIANS BRIGHT SCENES ON WHARF [Per United Press Association.} WELLINGTON, September 24. The members of the Australian Rugby football team were given a rousing send-off to-day when they left by the Wanganella for Sydney. The weather was gloriously fine, and the scene at the ship’s side was a gay one. The large crowd which assembled to witness the departure of the ship was entertained by the footballers, who sang many songs and exchanged a running fire of bright remarks with friends on the wharf. Many Rugby officials and players were present, and three rousing cheers were given for the visitors as the ship drew out.
