TRACK REGAINED

TRAIN SAVED FROM DISASTER ENGINE WHEELS LEAVE RAILS. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, September 22. Something approaching a miracle saved the Birmmgham-Leicester express from disaster. While it was travelling at 50 miles an hour the leading driving wheels of the engine left the rails, splintering the sleepers. The train swept through Croft station, swaying alarmingly. Then, after it had gone half a mile, to everyone’s amazement the wheels regained the track, and the express finished the journey without casualty.
