The National Federation of Meat Traders’ Associations contemplates spending £125,000 yearly in order to popularise meat throughout Britain, it is hoped that the Empire, in addition to British xiroducers, will contribute to the fund. The president (Mr C. A. Coggan), addressing the conference, drew attention to the New Zealand, Australian, and Argentine meat publicity schemes, and urged removal of quotas in order to permit heavier importations for the purpose of storage owing to danger of war.
