KING’S CORONATION
MAY BE FILMED FOR FIRST TIME OBJECTIONS COUNTER-BALANCED Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, September 22. (Received September 23, at 1 p.m.)
The ‘ Daily Telegraph ’ says it is possible that the Coronation will be filmed for the first time in history. The introduction of the movie camera at Westminster Abbey was always frowned on in the past, because it was felt that it tended to lessen the dignity of the ceremony. Now it is felt that the inconvenience would be counterbalanced by the interest in the picture throughout the Empire, also by its value as an historical document.
