MARKETING OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES COMMITTEE OF INQUIRY HEARS AUSTRALIAN EVIDENCE [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 23. The committee appointed by the Minister of Industries and Commerce to inquire into the marketing of New Zealand fruit and vegetables held its first sitting in Wellington to-day. The whole of the morning was devoted to hearing the evidence of a delegation sent to the Dominion by the citrus industry of New South Wales. The provisions under which the committee was set up preclude publication of evidence. The committee will leave for Nelson after taking evidence here, and will return for a final sitting on October 8.
