OTAGO V. WEST COAST The final shield match of the season will bo played at Carisbrook on Saturday, when Otago will meet the West Coast team. The Coasters’ team possess a dashing forward pack and some good backs. They recently defeated Canterbury, and are expected to prove a tough proposition. Otago will he anxious to retain the shield for the season, and if the team play as well as they have in recent matches will prove a hard side to defeat. The West Coast team will arrive on Thursday, and will stop at the Provincial Hotel. A large number of supporters are coming from the Coast to witness the match. The box plan will open at Messrs C. Begg and Co.’s on Thursday. Ground tickets will Ims on sale at S. Jacobs’s and the Otago Sports Depot.
