SILVER STREAK LAME CUDDLE IN FORM Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, September 22. In an impressive Derby trial at Rosebery Gold Rod galloped alone over one mile and a-half. Ridden by M‘Carten, he went easily over the first five furlongs, and then took Imin for the remaining seven, the last four in 50sec, and the last three in 37$ sec. Cuddle, also ridden by M'Carten, registered the excellent time of Imin 16sec for six furlongs, the last three in 37seo. Mr Montgomery, the owner of Silver Jubilee, was present at Victoria Park to see him gallop a brilliant four furlongs in 49isec. The ‘Sun’ says; “There is little chance of Silver Streak meeting his Randwick engagements. He pulled up lame to-day, and has been scratched from all the Melbourne events.
