RECORD OF ATTENDANCE AT MEETINGS The attendance of members at meetings of the City Council is set out in the annual report of the council for the year ended March 31, 1936. During the period under review 28 meetings of the council were held and attended as follows:—Cr Begg 28, the mayor (the Rev. E. T. Cox), Cr Silverstone, Cr Batchelor 27, Cr Mitchell, Cr M’Millan 26, Cr Scott, Cr Allen, Cr Shepherd 24, Cr Neilson, Cr Munro 23, Cr Cameron 21, Cr Jones 17. The following table shows the attendances of each member at all meetings, committee meetings, and meetings of council, during the year:—

The Hon. F. Jones was granted leave of absence from December 9, 1935, from all meetings of council and committees to enable him to attend to Ministerial duties. Crs M’Millan, Munro, Neilson were granted leave of absence from March 16, 1936, from all meetings of council and committees during the parliamentary session.
