NUMEROUS OFFENCES

YOUNG MAN FOR SENTENCE [Per United Press Association.] HAMILTON, September 23. Aippearing on remand from Napier, Eric Alfred Chapman (23) pleaded guilty in the Police Court to-day to breaking and entering J. J. Niven’s premises and stealing money and a cheque valued at £45, and to breaking and entering the premises of the Hamilton Borough Gasworks. Detective White said that the accused had made a frank confession of the offences and gave the police every assistance. The accused was committed to the Supreme Court at Wellington for sentence, where he will also be sentenced for 10 offences at Napier and two at Palmerston North.
