EXPLOSION IN BONFIRE

BOY INJURED [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 22. The explosion of a, detonator in a roadside bonfire is given as the reason for injuries suffered by P. Truelove, aged 11. It was previously-stated that the lad had thrown a live cartridge on the fire, but it is now ascertained that he had no knowledge of any dangerous explosives, which had been placed there by other hoys, who had taken them from an empty house nearby. The police found other detonators near the fire.
