COMMUNITY SINGING

The weekly sing will be held in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of FullerHayward) on. Friday, at midday. It is very pleasing to know that with the donations that have been sent in the third hundred pound will be handed to the mayor (Rev. B. T. Cox) «*t the sing on Friday. The West Coast .Rugby team will be in Dunedin to play Otago for the Ranfurly Shield, and they have been invited. Mr H. P. Desmoulins, the leader, is arranging another good programme and also the special item. Mr Alf. Pettitt will be at the piano. Donations can bo sent to Begg s or Strand Theatre. Flowers are always acceptable for the. stall. On Friday, October 2. the annual Scotch day will be hold. Miss Molly Doyle, thirteen-vear-old piper from Bluff, is coming along to assist. Proceeds are ior the mayor’s relief of distress fund.
