WRECK OF WAIRARAPA.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In reading the obituary notice of the late Captain ’J. Frazer, I notice the credit of attempting to take a line ashore at the wreck of the s.s, Wairarapa, is given to the second officer as well as Mr Frazer. I think there is a slight mistake there. It was the late Mr J. W. Dunlop, the second engineer, who made the gallant attempt, after Mr Frazer, and not Mr Clark, who was the second officer on the ill-fated vessel at that time. —I am, etc., September 21. N.
