ROMAN REMAINS IN FRANCE
Two more Roman baths have been discovered at Aix-les-Bains, which was a favourite resort with the Romans. The new bath is precious because it comprises a number of pieces of statuary and marble. Experts are at work piecing the debris together. At the same time many titles were discovered. Each new discovery shows the luxury with which the Romans fitted up these baths. There are already a large number of interesting Roman, remains at Aix-les-Bains, whose copious warm springs, 103 and 107 deg Fahrenheit, charged with alum and sulphur, were well 'known to the Romans for the curative properties which still to-day draw thousands of health seekers.
