FROM 4YA NEXT WEEK
TWO FINAL PIANOFORTE RECITALS Monday.—The concert session will consist of a relay from the Town Hall of the celebrity concert, details of which are given elsewhere on this page. Tuesday,—Listeners will be given a final opportunity of hearing locally the young pianist, Miss Eileen Joyce, who will give a Bach and Liszt recital. During the second portion of the concert programme the Kaikorai Band will be heard, and Miss Ann White will provide soprano solos. Wednesday.—Recorded features* will occupy the first part of the concert session, and from 9 o’clock there will be a relay from the Concert Chamber of the concert given by the Dunedin Orchestral Society. Thursday.—Featured in the programme will be symphonic music, works by French composers being predominant.
Friday.—The third instalment of the ‘ Radio Night Club ’ series will be played, and later there will be chamber music by the Max Scherek Trio. Saturday.—ln addition to music by the 4YA Concert Orchestra, there will be contralto solos by Miss Mary Somerville and items by a recorded male quartet.
