STOCKING LEAGUE CLUB'S EXHIBITION

A unique exhibition of work by the members of the Stocking League Club was displayed very artistically in the Hall of the Baptist Church on Wednesday afternoon. This work reflected great credit on the work of the president, (Miss M. Reed), together with a zealous band of workers who have been unremitting in their labours in making useful and dainty garments and clothing for the poor of London in the West Ham district. The members of this league in Invercargill also contributed. Altogether, the articles comprised, 25 quilts and 374 articles of clothing. There wgs a good attendance of those interested in the work. During the afternoon tea was served The president desires to thank the working me nber and all those who contributed by donation or in any other way.
