Y.M.C.A.
SILVER JUBILEE BAZAAR Conducted on Thursday afternoon and yesterday afternoon and evening, the success of the Y.M.C.A. silver jubilee bazaar and sale of work was very gratifying to the authorities. Presenting a very attractive appearance, the stalls.and lounge were tastefully decorated, and extremely well patronised. A most satisfactory return over the two days, £lls, was the result of brisk business commencing from the opening of the bazaar and showing no cessation until the close. The Y.M.C.A. officers and the women’s auxiliary committee have reason to he proud of the function and every consideration was given patrons, not the least being a thoughtful innovation in the form of two smart youths attending to the opening and closing of the doors. The bazaar was merely one feature of the campaign being conducted for the renovation of the building and support of the work of the Y.M.C.A. The only effort still to he completed is the suburban street collection, which is now proceeding.
