OFFENCE OF STEWARD AND BOY [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 18. The steward and steward’s boy who were before the court yesterday in. connection with the theft on the Rangitane were dealt with to-day. Frederick James, the steward, was ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within two years, and the boy, Ransom, was remanded to the Children’s Court. Mr Justice Smith said that he understood that arrangements had been made for James to leave the country, and no doubt he would take the first opportunity to do so.
