LONDON WOOL SALES. ACTIVE DEMAND. LONDON, September 16. (Received September 17, at 11.30 a.m.) At the wool sales, 11,482 bales were offered, including 3,405 from New Zaaland. The number sold was 8,922. There was a very good selection and also an active demand, especially from the home trade. Speculators’ lots and greasy merinos were largely withdrawn, owing to the firm limits. New Zealand lots sold as follow: —Slipe half-bred lambs; “Belfast,” top price, 18d per lb; average 17J-d.
