(Received September 16, at 10.60 a.m.) The ‘ Daily Telegraph ’ says science is closely allied with industry in the New Zealand Steamship Company’s 12-000-ton refrigerating ship to be launched at Clydebank on September 17. Ozone will bo used to maintain the freshness of fruit and meat cargoes, lor which there is over 50,000 cubic I'cet. Sea air will be passed hourly through the freezing chambers, and the gases breathed out by the pears and apples will be blown away, thus maintaining the purity of the air.
