TWO ARABS SENTENCED TO DEATH Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright JERUSALEM, September 15. (Received September 10, at 10 a.m.) Two Arabs were sentenced to death for firing at British troops at Nablus. This is the first sentence of the kind since the strike. GENDARMES' RAID VILLAGERS TAKEN PRISONER. BEIRUT, September 15. (Received September 16, at 1.45 p.m.)* Lebanese gendarmes surrounded several villages in the Shouf district, which were believed to harbour armed bands. While transferring several prisoners the gendarmes were fired on from a hill, and further arrests followed. Twelve rifles and a quantity of ammunition were confiscated. It is believed they were being smuggled to Palestine.
