NEW ZEALAND LABOUR PARTY
There was a fair attendance of supporters at a meeting held in the Waitati Hall on Friday, with the object of forming a branch in the district. Mr J. Duncan occupied the chair, and addresses were delivered by Mr B. O’Donnell and Mr J. M'Donald, president and secretary of the Otago Labour Representation Committee. At the conclusion of Mr O’Donnell’s address it was moved that a branch be formed in Waitati. The following officers were elected President, Mr P. Pauling; vice-pror.ident, Mr L. Mattson; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Duncan; trustees, Mr W. Holf and Mr L. Mattson ; committee —Messrs P. Powell, D. Jackson, J. B. Powell, D. MacLeod, and D. Hamilton.
