Pleading guilty to being intoxicated while in charge of a car at Petone, a young married man, Douglas James Leggat, was lined £lO to-day by justices. The police stated that the defendant, who was the driver of an ice cream van during the season, had not attempted to drive the car, but was sitting at the wheel when he was found by a constable.
