TROOPS FOR PALESTINE
BRITISH REINFORCEMENTS LEAVING (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, September 12. (Received September 14, at noon.) The first detachment of troops for Palestine left Bordpn camp early this morning for Southampton to join the Dorsetshire, which sails to-day with 1,700 men, including two units of the Third Infantry Brigade, comprising 53 officers and 1,132 men of the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers and the Royal Irish Fusiliers. They will _be domed at Southampton by the 6th_Field Park, 12th and 6th field companies of the Royal Engineers on Monday. The other vessels of the emergency transport fleet, the Laurentic and the Navara, will leave Southampton with the headquarters staff of the first division, some of the smaller units, and half of the Second Infantry Brigade. The Laurentic is a fast vessel, and is expected back in Southampton in time to sail again about October 20, probably with the 3rd battalion of the Goldstream Guards and the 2nd battalion of The Buffs to complete the force.
