HOURS AND PAY
BREACH OF NEW REGULATIONS MAN AND WIFE FINED [Per United Press Association.] WANGANUI, September 14. Charges of breaches under the new regulations by under-paying shop assistants and exceeding the hours were brought by the Labour Department against Guilio Fossi Cutelli, who was fined £5 for paying five women assistants less than the prescribed £2, and employing an assistant for more than 48 hours. He was fined £1 for failing to keep a correct time book, and his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Cutelli, was fined £5 for making false entries in the time book in respect of a youth employed as an assistant.
