Two Dominion Meetings Big Increases in Investments Cuddle Disappoints in Australia 0 Tha Wanganui Jockey Club and Wellington Trotting Club Meetings attracted the attention of racing followers on Saturday, both showing substantial increases in their totalisator returns. Kingcraft annexed the big race at Hutt Park (the Bollard Memorial), heading Avernus to pay a big dividend. WELL-KNOWN TRAINER'S DEATH [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 13. The death occurred at Napier today of Mr R. Alexander, a well-known trainer, of Greenmeadows, and formerly at Riccarton. Mr Alexander, who was only a young man, also trained for Mr J. J. Corry when Rabbi was racing, and later he had charge of Mr T. H. Lowry’s team. His death was not unexpected, as he had recently undergone a serious operation, and little hope was entertained for his recovery. It was a shock all the same to a wide circle of friends. He leaves a wife and young family.
