Trade Delegation in Great Britain, reports:— , The following figures show the balance of payments between the U.S.S.B. and the United Kingdom for the year 1935. These include payments (excluding interest) effected in the past year in respect of exports and re-exports made during that year:— Proceeds of the U.S.S.B. (after reduction of 97 per cent, of the value of canned salmon not handled by Soviet trading organisations), £21,000,000, Payments by the U.S.S.B. (Payments in 1935). —For exports, £5,936,000; for old ships, £253,000; for reexports, £6,523,000; for freights (British vessels), £1,470,000 ; 6J per cent, of visible trade turnover £1,996,000; excess of payments in 1934, £5,894,000; a total of £22,072,000. According to agreement ratio for 1935 (1:1.5) payment should be, £14,000,000. Total excess of payments in 1934 and 1935, actual ratio for 1935 (1:0.95), £8,072,000.
