HAWKE'S BAY CHAMPIONSHIPS [Per United Press Association.] NAPIER, September 11. The _ Hawke’s Bay amateur golf championship semi-finals resulted:—H. J. Longstaffe defeated H. B. Lusk, 1 up; A. E. Kawhe defeated H. G. Davies_ at the twentieth. Playing faultless golf, Longstaffe defeated Kawhe in the final. Longstaffe, who is an Englishman spending a holiday in New Zealand, learned his golf at the famous links at Troon, Scotland. He completed the morning round in 71 against Kawhe’s 78, and won the match 8 up and 7 to play.
