EILEEN JOYCE'S RECITALS Monday.—The concert programme will open with light orchestral music and songs fitted together under the title of ‘ The Concert Hall of the Air.’ Entertainment of a different character will be presented from 9.5, when the thriller, ‘The Case of the Bunch of Hoses,’ one of the Inspector Scott series, will be played. Tuesday.—Dr F. J. Turner will speak on 4 Gold in New Zealand; Geographical Aspects,’ at 7.30, and the first half of the concert programme will be built up of new recordings. The St. Kilda Band contributes to the second portion of the session.

Wednesday.—Recorded features arc to be played.between 8 and 9 p.m., and at the latter hour the station is to commence a relay of portion of the concert presented in the Concert Chamber by the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Mr Gil Dech. Thursday.—Making her first local appearance, the famous young pianist, Miss Eileen Joyce, will feature a Debussy and Ravel recital. Recorded American orchestras will provide the majority of the remaining items, Friday.—The second of the series of talks on 4 The Maori Language ’ will be given by Mr W. W. Bird, ex-inspec-tor of Native schools, and will be followed by 4 The Radio Night Club,’ a programme of cabaret-vaudeville. Miss Eileen Joyce will again appear, this time during , the usual chamber music hour, when she will play ‘ Largo in F Minor ’ (Bach) and ‘ Sonata in G Minor’ (Schumann). Saturday.—lrish songs and melodies will be heard in a special presentation during the concert session under the title of 4 Irish Bulbuls.’
