ARTS BALL
Arrangements for the forthcoming Repertory Society’s arts (fancy dress and masks) ball, which is being held in the Town Hall on Thursday, October 8 (race night), are now well in hand. The following have been appointed to the Ball Committee:—Mr Maurice Joel (chairman), Mrs Richard Hudson and Mr W. D. Young (sales), Mrs E. T. Moller (catering), Mrs Charlton Edgar (publicity), Miss Barbara Williams (ballets), Mr C. V. Smith (advertising), Mr Charlton Edgar (decorations), Mr T. C. Wynne (lighting), and Miss E. Moloney (secretary). The decorations, which will all be works of art, will be on a grand scale, and promise something that has never before been seen in Dunedin. The ballets, too, are to be quite unique. Prizes will be awarded for the most original costume, the best costume, and the best group of costumes.
