The bells of St. Chad’s, _ Lichfield, have just been restored to their original state. One of them rang out its joyous tones at the coronation of our ■ first King Edward, in 1274. ■, “ If you want to steal cherries l.know where you can find the best.” “ Where?” “In the vicar’s garden.” “ How do you know?’’ “He’s been preaching so much on fruit-stealing lately.”-
