—Ministerial.— The Hon. F. _ Jones (PostmasterGeneral and Minister of Defence), accompanied by Mr F. M. Sherwood (private secretary), will leave Dunedin on his return to Wellington to-morrow; morning. Mr Justice Kennedy will leave on Saturday to attend the sittings of the Court ot Appeal in Wellington. Sub-inspector J. Fox, of the Auckland Police Department, arrived by yesterday afternoon’s -• express on a holiday visit to Dunedin. . Mr S. C. Sutherland, director and local manager of Messrs Wright, Stephenson, arid Co., returned to Dunedin on Tuesday night after an extended visit to the United States and Canada. Mr F. P. M. Ferguson, manager of the Dunlop Rubber Company in New Zealand, who has been' transferred to Calcutta, India, was given a farewell at a .luncheon of the Wellington Rotary Club, the president, Mr H. Anderson, wishing Mr Ferguson all success in his new sphere of action. Mr Ferguson said that since his association with Rotary in 1929 in Madras; Rangoon, and New Zealand, he had never felt so much at home as in the Wellington club. Mr Ferguson will leave for Vancouver en route to England next Tuesday. His successor, Mur Philip Proctor, will probably not arrive until the end of the year. At the annual meeting of the Balmacewen Tennis Club on Tuesday evening opportunity was taken to say farewell to Mrs A. Milne, who is leaving shortly to reside at Pembroke. In 'making a presentation, Mr A. M'Millan (the president) referred to Mrs Milne’s popularity as a member,* and thanked her for the interest she had always taken in the affairs of the club. He wished Me Milne and herself a happy future ia their new home.
