PHYSICAL UNFITNESS IN BRITAIN GREAT ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT Frets Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, September 9. (Received September 10, at 2 p.m.) Professor Percy Lelean (Professor of Public Health at Edinburgh University), in his presidential address to the Scottish Royal Sanitary Association, estimated that physical unfitness was costing Britain about £220,000,000 yearly. “If diet and exercise were remedied the national physique would be visibly improved in two years and would be restored in two generations,” he said.
