MRS KENNEDY
The death at her x-esidence at Dunback of Mrs Kennedy has removed another of the early settlers of the province. Mrs Kennedy was born 82 years ago in Londonderry, and arrived in New Zealand with her father and
mother (Mr and Mrs Rickett) and her brothers and sisters by the John Wxckliffe. _ The family resided in Palmerston, and in 1874 the deceased married Mr David Kennedy, a farmer, of Dunback, where she resided thereafter. Her kindly and genial disposition and her willingness to help those in need won the high regard of all who knew her. This took practical form in 1923, when she was entertained at a social by the residents of the district and was the recipient of a presentation. She was predeceased by her husband many years ago, and is survived by a grown-up family of four daughters and four sons. Two other sons died during the Great .Warj
