ROSLYN AND KAIKORAI RATEPAYERS

MEETING OF ASSOCIATION The monthly meeting of the Roslyn and Kaikorai .Ratepayers’ Association was held last evening, Mr P. L. .Ritchie presiding over a fail" attendance of members. It was decided to thank the City Council for the following works performed at the association’s request.— Taieri road, north side, to kerb and channel and form new extension of footpath from Dean street to Cromwell street; Beta street, new stormwater channel; Hart street, lengthening safety rail for footpath; Littlebourno road, widening of footpath at Morris’s corner and beginning the tar-sealing of this road to Tweed street ; Walton street, widening and repairing footpath; Ross street, tar-sealing from Michie street to Hart street, south side; Tyne street, the erection of new light; Lawson street widening, and new large traffic-turning area in this blind street; children’s playing area, completing drainage and the lawn portion topdressed, while the manholes for the stream which flows under this ground have now been covered and grassed and made safe for children. It was also decided to ask for the rounding of two dangerous street corners City road and - Charlotte and Scarba streets.
