MR ARTHUR HENDERSON

At the opening of tne Labour Party’s annual conference at Brighton a presentation, which took, the form of® handsome illustrated record of his life, was made by proxy to Mr Arthur Henderson in recognition of his long and distinguished services as secretary to the party. It is understood _ that during the present week a replica of the bust of- Mr Henderson, by Strobl, now in the hall of the League of Nations at Geneva, will he presented to him. In making the presentation Mr George Lansbury reported that the condition of Mr Henderson, who is in a nursing home, was more hopetul, and they could look forward, to his returning istropg and vigorous to resume work in the party, and in that bigger sphere of international peace and goodwill.
