COMMUNITY SINGING
Mr Arthur Macdonald regrets that Le has been unable to arrange so far the big sing for 4ZM, the difficulty being the booking of His Majesty’s Theatre. However, a Rugby football night will be held in the Town Hall on Tuesday, October 8, at 8 p.m. The Dunedin, public will have the opportunity to welcome the victorious Otago team that won the Ranfurly Shield. A special broadcast has been arranged of that game as an interlude, also a. Soccer game in Glasgow will be staged. The songs will include * On the Ball and ■ Rol} Along,. Otago Team, Roll Along,’ and a trip with the All Blacks through England, Wales, Ireland, and Scotland in song, story, and stunts. There are 3,000 seats, and a full house is expected to help the Dunedin Highland Pipe Band to uphold the prestige of our city when it goes to defend; the champion shield at Wanganui.
