VISIT TO BALCLUTHA During the week-end 17 ladies from Balmacewen Club visited Balclutha ami played the local ladies. The weather, was ideal, and the visitors won all their games, with the exception of three. Ail team of 13 players from the Taieri Club also visited Balclutha, and spent an enjoyable day on the links. Tht matches were all keenly contested, de* spits the fact that the local player* won 11 and squared the remaining two* The visitors expressed surprise at th« fine sporting qualities of the links, and the good playing conditions, _ and in* timated their intention of paying a re* turn visit at an early date.—Own con* respondent.
