There was a large attendance oi Taranaki doctors at Stratford to hear an address by Mr Bright Banister on the canso and treatment of toxieima associated 1 with approaching motherhood. ' w. Ho emphasised that it was impery that expectant mothers should me' .lously follow the advice of their doctors, especially in regard to dietetic treatment. Mr Banister stated that this complication of motherhood was causing more maternal deaths in the Dominion yearly than puerperal sepsis, which was a complication more dreaded by most women. Mr Banister added that toxaemia disorder Could largely avoided by adequate ante-natal care and the patients’ obedience to the doctors’ instructions.
