A CHARMING COMEDY-DRAMA
1 HOME, SWEET HOME 1 COMING TO GRAND ‘ Home, Sweet Home,’ which will open at the Grand on Wednesday, is based on the world’s sweetest melody of the same name. The story is one of universal appeal, a gripping, romantic, true-to-life drama, with a rich vein of comedy running through it. The story opens showing Dicky Pelham, a mining engineer, about to return to England after three years’ _ absence. On the eve of his departure his dreams of a happy home reunion are shattered when he receives a letter from his wife telling him of her intentions to leave him for an old friend of both, John Falkirk. On the day of his arrival home his wife has changed her mind, and sets off to inform Falkirk, but she is involved in a motor accident, Pelham being left with the impression that his wife has left him. This misunderstanding results in the plot becoming more gripping. The popular English star, John Stuart, nlays the part of Dibky Pelham in his usual polished manner, whilst the role of his wife is taken by the New Zealand star. Mario Ney, last seen with Conrad Veidt in the * Wandering Jew.’
