SEPTEMBER MARRIAGES
EIGTHEEN MORE THAN LAST YEAR BIRTHS INCREASE, BUT FEWER DEATHS Eighteen more marriages, including those performed by the registrar, were registered during the month ended today than in September last year, and while for the latest quarter the statistician’s figures" reveal an increase of 26 ceremonies, the total for the nine months to date is 19 dess than over the same period last year. Births numbered six more this September than last, and 23 more for the respective quarters. For nine months, however, a decrease of 27 is shown. In comparison with the totals for all periods under review, fewer deaths have been recorded this year. For the month the decrease was 13, for the quarter 48, and for nine months 87.
