ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
FOUND SHOT. The local police were advised early this afternoon that Thomas Louis Bavis Ward, aged 61 years, was found dead at Waikouaiti, where he resided, shot in the head. An inquest’will be held before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M. COLLIDED WITH MOTOR. While riding a bicycle at Waitati this morning Cecil Sharp, aged 11 years, collided with a motor car, and was brought to the Dunedin Hospital, suffering from injuries to both legs. COLLAPSED IN SHIP’S HOLD. Thomas White, aged 65 years, residing at 34 Ravelston street, Tainui, collapsed while working in the hold of the steamer Parera this morning. He was admitted to the hospital.
