It; is announced that Sir Alexander Herdman will address the electors in the Parnell electorate next Monday, when it is expected that he will announce his political plans. THE WAITE MATA SEAT, Mr Alexander MacGregor, head master of the Mount Eden Public School, was chosen as the National Government candidate for Waitemata in a selection ballot to-night. There were three other nominations. Mr Harris, the present member, is retiring.
