The blind soldier evangelist, Mr Andrew Johnson, who lias been conducting a mission in the South Dunedin Baptist Church for the past three weeks, will conclude his meetings on Sunday evening next. The attendances at the mission have been very encouraging, and one gratifying feature lias been the hearty way in which the neighbouring churches and the_ Salvation Army have co-operated in forgoing their weekly meetings in order to assist.
Policeman: “ Miss, you were doing 60 miles an hour. ” She: “ Oh, isn’t that splendid! 1 only learnt to drive yesterday.”
