TO-MORROW'S SOCCER
CANTERBURY V. OTAGO Fast and exciting Association football is anticipated at Logan Park, when Canterbury will meet Otago in a return match for the J. E. Jones Cup, which was given recently for competition between the provinces. Otago secured the trophy in the first game played at Christchurch on September 14 by th« narrow margin of 3 goals to 2. This match, according to northern reports, provided a most spectacular game, play throughout being fast and interesting. It is two years since a Canterbury deam visited Dunedin, and although beaten .it upheld the province’s reputation for playing clever and attractive football. The team will arrive by the second express to-night. There will be littlo change in the personnel of either team,and on the result of the previous match they are well matched. A curtainraiser at 1.45 between the Otago A and B primary schools’ representative teams will be played, and spectators will no doubt appreciate the opportunity of viewing the Ranfurly Shield, which the O.R.F.U has kindly allowed to be ex-* hibited. The Dunedin Highland Pip« Band has been engaged, and extra trams and buses will be run for th« convenience of patrons.
