VICTIMIAIi GOVERNMENT GRANTS ALLOCATION OF 11,000,000 Press Association — By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, September 25. The Premier announced to-night the allocation of £1,000,000 for rebuilding and improvements and additions to metropolitan and country hospitals.The money would be made available by, a grant and a loan. Of the amount £750,000 was for the removal of the Royal Melbourne Hospital from its present site in the centre of the city to a site away from the noise of the city,which has long been advocated. To the amount granted by the Government would be added the proceeds from the sale of the present site. _ , Other metropolitan hospitals covered by the grants are: Prince Henry s,£90,000; Dental, £55,000; St. Vm« cent’s, £40,000; and Alfred’s, £90,000.For country hospitals £IOO,OOO is pro* vided.
